About Hagai

Hagai Stadler is a managing partner at AP Partners, and serves as the chairman of Tomatech, an Israeli company, which develops, produces, markets and sells high value tomatoes, and other vegetable seeds.

Prior to AP Partners, Hagai was the CEO of Algatech and led investment in the company and later on to a significant exit. Located in the Arava desert, Algatech is a leading international biotechnology company in the micro-algae industry and has one of the biggest Photo-Bio-Reactor facilities in the world. Algatech sells active ingredients delivered from micro-algae in more than 30 countries to known brands in the Pharma, Food Supplement and Cosmetic Industries.

Before heading Algatech, Hagai was the Israeli partner of Grovepoint Capital, a London based private equity house, which managed over USD 2 Billion in assets, led by Mr. Bradley Friend, currently the chairman of the Bank of England.

Hagai was executive adviser to the CEO of Mekorot and led the corporate strategy, government relationship and Mekorot investment committees. Prior to Mekorot, Hagai was a commercial lawyer at Lipa Meir and Co., specializing in bankruptcy and turn-arounds, after an internship in Justice Rubinstein’s chamber in the Supreme Court.

Hagai was a major in the Israeli Navy, commanding six patrol boats.

Hagai holds an MBA and an LLB, both with distinction, from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem, as well as a BA in Economics and Logistics from Bar-Ilan University.

Hagai lives in Raanana with his wife and four children, swims, runs and loves tracking and reading books. He is involved with Afikim charity, empowering kids from low so-economic families.
